Transformation Story
This was a one year journey for me, I started really getting interested in becoming fit and living a healthy lifestyle around May 2010. I've always been decently active, but always ate way too much. From May - September I tried to make a healthy diet and workout routine by myself. I really had no idea what to do! I wasn’t seeing very many results. Looking back, the food I was eating was not going to give me results either. Throughout the summer I noticed a really fit girl in the gym who was starting to really inspire me. Turned out that she was a fitness trainer and soon became my trainer. In September 2010 I began a meal and workout plan and have been following the ever-changing plan all throughout my journey.
At first I had no confidence that the diet would really change anything, but to my surprise I was feeling better, not as bloated and starting to instead feel fit and lean. Through dedication, organization, always cooking, pushing myself harder and harder, I flew through goals I never thought would be achievable. I started to realize that this wasn't just a diet, it was a complete lifestyle change that was happening; and I was growing accustomed to it.
Competing on May 28th, 2011 at the Luchka O’Brien Classic in Mississauga, ON was a huge goal for me. Every time I started to back down, my goal always stuck in the back of my mind and kept me up. For me, having a huge goal that might seem impossible is the only way I can push myself through the impossible. I placed 4th at my first show, and this was something I never thought would happen. All of my dedication paid off! I’m really proud of myself and I hope to place in top 3 for my next show September 10th, 2011.
